Acoustical Wall Panels

Acoustical wall panels, also known as acoustical wall tiles are an excellent sound treatment and sound absorption option for walls within a room. Soundproofing an office or other room with a flat wall surface can be obtained by using an acoustical wall panels. Acoustical wall panels or acoustical wall tiles use sound absorption to dampen the reverberating sounds (also known as echoes) that travel throughout a room. As sound reflects off of the many surfaces in an office or room, the acoustical wall panels deaden or dampen the sound and thus, provide less reverberation or echoes in that room.

Acoustical wall panels are one of many sound treatment and soundproofing methods and products to treat acoustics. Aside from treating sound with acoustical wall panels, you can also treat sound with acoustical ceiling panels and other acoustical products found here on this site.

The correct terms to use when treating or absorbing sound is acoustical treatment, sound treatment, sound absorption, sound damping or sound dampening. To completely and truly soundproof an environment, you must have acoustical products that completely stop all sound travel and completely enclose the environment using soundproofing materials such as mass loaded vinyl and sound barriers. These acoustical wall panels are not considered soundproofing products.
